ASCAP in conjunction with Outside The Box Music and PledgeMusic presents an ASCAP DIY-U workshop “Effective Crowdfunding for Artists, Songwriters and Musicians” on Thursday, January 23rd 2014 at 5:30 pm. Admission is free.

We then will examine some crowdfunding case studies such as Amanda Palmer‘s $1.2 million Kickstarter campaign and Ben Folds Five’s PledgeMusic drive to fund their respective albums. We will also interview singer/songwriter Liz Longley who raised close to $55K in funds for her next release.
